Our Money for You ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Information we collect
When you submit the application form on this site, we collect:
- Business information — legal and operating name, industry, entity type, business number, tax ID, number of employees, business address, phone, email and website, incorporation date, and details of your business premises;
- Owner information — your name, date of birth, home address, email address, phone number, ownership share, and the same details for any co-owners you list;
- Financial information — requested funding amount, monthly business sales, number of business bank accounts, credit score, property, vehicle and bankruptcy history, and any bank or processing statements you choose to upload;
- Your electronic signature — the name you type to sign the application.
Some of this is sensitive financial information. We ask for it only because funding partners need it to assess your application, and you can leave optional fields blank.
We also collect limited technical information automatically, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit, through standard web server logs.
Why we collect it
We use the information you provide to:
- Contact you by phone or email about the funding application you submitted;
- Assess which funding options may be appropriate for your business;
- Refer your application to funding partners where relevant to your request;
- Respond to your questions and maintain a record of our communications;
- Meet our legal, regulatory, and record-keeping obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
Consent
By submitting the form you consent to being contacted by us about your application. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at the address below, subject to legal and contractual restrictions and reasonable notice.
Commercial electronic messages (CASL)
If we send you commercial electronic messages, we will do so only with the consent required under Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation, and every such message will identify us and include an unsubscribe mechanism.
Who we share it with
We may share your information with the funding partners we refer your application to, with the service providers that operate this website (our web hosting provider, which stores applications and uploaded documents on our behalf, and our email provider, Microsoft 365), and with any party we are required to disclose to by law. Service providers are only permitted to use your information to perform services for us.
How long we keep it
We retain application information for 24 months from your last contact with us, after which it is securely destroyed or anonymized, unless a longer period is required by law.
How we protect it
Form submissions are transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Bank statements you upload are stored outside the publicly accessible part of this website and can only be retrieved through a private, signed link. We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not currently set analytics or advertising cookies. If we introduce analytics or advertising measurement tools in future, this policy will be updated to name them before they are used. You can control cookies at any time through your browser settings.
Your rights
You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, and to withdraw your consent to further contact. We will respond to written requests within the timeframes set out in PIPEDA.
